Message Today was the final IDRC drag event of the season and it was anything but ideal, with temps well into the 100s. That said, Dean knocked out a new personal best of 10.1@140mph (@35psi) despite the sweltering heat. In fact, it was so hot the camcorder malfunctioned repeatedly only capturing a "measly" 10.6 run. On top of that, track officials later went party-pooper on us by threatening to boot him from the track if he went any faster without a full cage. As a result, the quickest pass of the day was the first run and the rest were at ~28psi instead of 35psi. Without a doubt, we know 9s are there once we get the right place, right time. Regardless, great job out there bud!

Since we don't have any video of the 10.1, his prior best from June@IDRC will have to do (10.34@141mph).

I do, however, have a few cell phone pics from today. First and foremost, the slip! Get to work Arnel ;)

My face, it burns.

Some of the SoCal pit crew out rooting for Dean.

The Black Beast. It's amazing to see how much love the Z32 gets out at these events, thanks in part to Greg and Dean's dominance of late. Random people come by all day with compliments.

Dean himself, prepping for a run. We had to keep the nitrous bottle iced the entire day just to combat the heat.

Kills bugs fast...too fast in fact. One track official even nicknamed him "Trouble".

Drooling to get back on the strip.

Chance encounter with another Z32 owner. In fact, he happens to have Dean's old HKS 2530 turbos and recently put down 603RWHP on the dyno before running out of fuel. He ran mid-11s but has 10s in it once he gets his 60' down. Great meeting you Carlos!

And finally, some random asshole...

Thanks for reading! PS, here's Dean's profile for any new folk: [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/directory.aspx?forum=classified&user_id=45132 ]
